Thank you, everyone, for your continued concern. All test have come in, and as far as the medical community can tell, I am healthy... lumpy, but healthy. ;)
There has been an immediate improvement to my health since the surgery, so it seems (at least for now) that it was a good decision on my part. My iron stores are not great, but in normal range now. I will continue to fight anemia probably for the rest of my life, or rather, so long as I continue to be an exercise freak. I'm taking a supplement, so please, rest easy knowing that I really am trying to take care of myself. And yes, if it turns out that I have to change my diet in order to fix my iron, I will, but I don't think I will have to.
I am on the mend, and, should anything change, I will let you all know. I'm back to running, and for the next two weeks I'll run every other day (or some other cardio every other day) and continue to walk 40-120 minutes a day as needed. In two weeks, I'll return to the training regime I want to be on, which should lead me to be able to run a marathon distance this next summer (26 miles), and hopefully an ultra-marathon the following year (50 miles). Provided I don't sustain any injuries in training, everything 'is go'.
Thanks again for all candles, prayers and energy, they were will received.
I will update again soon, more in detail, about what is going on in my life. For now, however, it's off to the cafe. I have to finish this book and then write like a maniac.
